The Gran Domine Hotel, facing the Guggenheim Museum, is the Silken Hotel Group’s first five-star property. It expresses a contemporary concept that avoids ostentation and promotes fun. Influenced by its neighbour, it contains a selection of furniture that represents the most emblematic designs from the 20th century. The atrium lobby, flooded with light, is dominated from floor to ceiling by a sculpture called the Fossil Cypress, which provides an inspiring view for the interior facing rooms. There is a lobby bar which has become very popular and trendy among locals at weekends and also for after work drinks. The 148 guestrooms are all designed in a warm, modern style, created to make guests feel at home. The corridors on each floor are decorated in an individual style. The restaurant serves regional and international cuisine, prepared by José Ramon, one of the top chefs in Spain. There’s also the Buenasvistas Terrace: a large, teakwood terrace with a copper-latticed canopy from which unusual views of the Guggenheim and the Ría can be taken in.
