Part of the Silken chain, the Indautxu Hotel underwent renovations in 2003 and has acquired a more modern and sophisticated feel. The lobby and reception have an open feel and are pleasantly appointed with marble floors and classic, comfortable furniture. The 182 medium sized guestrooms feature soothing, cream toned décor, complemented by carpeted floors and 1960s-style club chairs. Also medium sized, the en suite bathrooms have marble fittings and are maintained in good condition. Situated on the ground floor, the hotel’s Etxaniz restaurant can accommodate 95 covers and specialises in Basque dishes created with fresh local ingredients. This venue is appointed in a classic style, with hard wood floors, cream and light blue coloured walls and an imposing chandelier. For those who prefer something more casual, the Cafeteria Indautxu serves snacks and light lunches in a contemporary setting. At weekends there’s also special live entertainment available in the El Muelle Piano Bar.
