The Nh Palacio Hotel occupies a palace built in 1902, overlooking the Abra Bay. Declared one of the city's historic monuments, the building has been carefully renovated. The internal courtyard and a chapel facing the street are typical examples of early 20th century eclecticism, and both have been preserved. The 88 large rooms are simply appointed in a classic style, with cream décor and parquet floors. One of the former living rooms of the palace represents the perfect setting for the hotel’s spacious restaurant, which boasts natural light and an infinite number of cosy corners for guests to enjoy. It serves traditional Basque dishes prepared from locally sourced, market fresh ingredients.
